It was just after War World 2 when Elio and his brother Enzo began to gather a raw butter, full of scents, in the first dairy farms that produced Parmigiano Reggiano near Cavazzona, a village on the border of Modena and Bologna provinces.
They began producing the Auriga butter as a family business using a very simple wood butter churn. As sales kept on growing in the nearby cities of Modena and Bologna, the product was renamed Zanasi butter.
Year after year, from the first door-to-door deliveries by bike to today, the company evolved thanks to constant updates and investments in production plants and delivery means to all customers, both national and international, with a strict respect of all the qualitative and sanitary regulations.
In 1981 Elio’s son began working in the company and Gra-Com moved to the new siege of Castelfranco Emilia.
The production plant has been recently renovated and widened to face the growing requests of the market, both productive and technologic, and is now one of the most modern and complete plants in Italy for the production of conventional and organic butter both with our own brand and private label.
